JENNA ROBERTSON, ARTIST, FOUNDER

I am an artist and mom living in wet and wonderful Portland, Oregon. I was inspired to create something out of wool when I came across so many beautiful sweaters while thrift shopping. This luxurious yet abandoned material called out to be recycled and reinvented.

Initially, I utilized these materials to make unique stuffed creatures called “Woolies”. Then I branched out to create machine-stitched hats, mittens, detailed collages, skirts, and most recently, arm and leg warmers. My materials of choice include recycled angora, cashmere, lambswool, merino and mohair.
All my work is designed and handmade in Portland with the help of Beate Kilber, Becky Smith and Suzanne Miller.
